BECOME A MEMBER

Engage Collin County serves the Collin County area in an effort to reduce substance abuse among today’s youth and to improve overall wellness in our community.  We use evidence-based environmental strategies to make a positive impact by:

Educating youth and their families on the health and legal consequences of substance abuse and ways to improve wellness

 Implementing policy change in relation to substance abuse

Limiting youth access to substances​

4

 Changing the culture of decision making when it comes to substance abuse

Our Members

Substance Use Prevention Coalition Community
Engage Collin County works in collaboration with all sectors of the community:
parents
business communities
media
schools
law enforcement
faith-based organizations
civic and volunteer groups
health care professionals
organizations that serve youth or young adults
youth
young adults
state, local or tribal governmental agencies
other organizations involved in reducing substance abuse
senior citizens. 
​Having representation from each sector is key to the success of the coalition. Together each sector is able to contribute key data, educate youth, parents and the community, promote healthy media messages, and conduct community outreach.  

What it Means to be a Member

Being a member takes many things, but most importantly it takes passion.

  • Uphold the values and mission of the coalition
  • Complete a Member Agreement
  • Attend coalition meetings
  • Actively assist with events, work group of choice
  • Commit time and knowledge
