Annette Hamel
Board Member, Engage Collin County Annette lives and works in Collin County representing Changes Outpatient of Frisco, a PHP/IOP level of care that provides mental health services for children and adolescents throughout the metroplex. She collaborates with a wide variety of professionals including therapists, counselors, psychiatrists, family practitioners and pediatricians. This strong community network of allied service providers provides an extraordinary system of care
Prior experience leading to this opportunity included launching a Geriatric Psychiatric program for a home health agency, developing a collaborative Telepsychiatry network via an early state-of-the art phone app and business development for a mental health inpatient hospital.
Aside from work she is a cycling enthusiast and enjoys bike rallies across north Texas, RV camping, hiking…anything outdoors…and spending time with her two sons who live locally.
Coordinating care for her loved ones through the years has created a personal interest in improving access to care and reducing the stigma for those in need of services. As an Engage Collin County advisory board member, she is pleased to be part of this important initiative to help educate our community with reliable information and trustworthy resources.
